1. Information We Collect
We collect the information you provide during onboarding and profile setup — your name, age, city, gender, interests, bio, photos, and matching preferences. We also collect match activity (introductions, messages, blind-date plans and post-date choices), AI coaching learnings you consent to, and account data like your email. Verification sessions are handled by a third-party provider; we do not store biometric media on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your profile data to generate AI-powered match recommendations, compatibility scores, and conversation suggestions. We use your interactions to improve matching and to enforce daily match limits. We use your email to authenticate your account and send essential service notifications.
3. AI Processing
Swippie uses AI to choose your daily matches from your profile and preferences, and to suggest conversation openers. Your photos are never shown to a match until you both choose to continue after a blind date. AI never sends messages on your behalf or replies as another person. Private contact details are never shared with other users.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the app (e.g., identity verification, payment processing, AI infrastructure), and only as needed to provide those services. These providers are bound by their own privacy obligations.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, matches, messages, and learned preferences are permanently removed. Some data may be retained in backups for a limited period or where required by law.
6. Your Rights
You can access, update, or delete your data at any time through the app. You can toggle AI learning consent on or off in the Sidekick settings. You can delete your account from Profile settings. You can also toggle your AI profile visibility.
7. Data Security
We use authentication, row-level access controls, and encrypted server-side storage to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to safeguard your information.
8. Children's Privacy
Swippie is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact support so we can remove the account.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
